Whitaker Oil completes initial phase of website redesign

Whitaker Oil has completed the initial phase of its website redesign.  In addition, a private employee intranet was created to complement the new website.

The third-generation redesign project was undertaken by Emergent Media Group, an Atlanta-based web design company.  Emergent Media Group president Ben Robinson was challenged with these goals:

  1. Redesign the Whitaker Oil site to be more consistent, visually appealing and up-to-date.
  2. Categorize key information and technical data in a manner that is well organized, simple to navigate and searchable.
  3. Provide marketing support for the expansion of Whitaker's composites distribution business.
  4. Build a private employee intranet to share company news and events as well as better organize standard company documents and technical information.
  5. Allow Whitaker employees to take charge of managing the editing of web content to keep the site fresh, current and responsive to customer and industry needs.
